On the transactional side, highlights of work include:

• Acting for a leading aircraft manufacturer in relation to the financial difficulties of a key supplier which threatened the logistics chain in a major project.

• Acting for one of two major creditors of a leading sub-sea cable-laying company with a global business: we negotiated the terms of a company voluntary arrangement designed to restructure the company's business.

• Acting for a global company specialising in oil & gas projects in relation to the financial difficulties of a sub-contractor which threatened the timely delivery of the project.

• Acting in the group reorganisation of a ship-owning group involving the solvent liquidation of the parent.

• In the insurance sector we have advised on various legacy capital solutions including the implementation of solvent schemes of arrangement under s425 Companies Act, including the first s425 Companies Act Scheme of Arrangement to be implemented in relation to the UK branch of a United States corporation.

On the contentious side, highlights of work include:

• Acting for partners of PricewaterhouseCoopers in their capacity as the joint liquidators of a trading subsidiary of a registered charity in its action against its former officers in connection with allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.

• Acting for partners in Grant Thornton UK LLP in their capacity as trustees in bankruptcy of Viren Rastogi, formerly a director and controlling stakeholder of RGB Resources which went into liquidation owing $400m to its bankers.

• Acting for the Canadian Trustee in Bankruptcy of North America Steamships Limited in a dispute over the treatment of freight forward swap agreements (a form of derivative contract incorporating the ISDA 1992 terms).

• Acting for a leading investment bank as a representative of a class of shareholders in the long running Bahamian insolvency of the Oracle Fund.

• Acting for the Plaintiff in the Pan Australia Shipping case in the Federal Court of Australia and successfully establishing a statutory lien over the "Boomerang One", a cellular container vessel, the charterer of which was the subject to administration proceedings.
