HFW Partner Chanaka Kumarasinghe, who is also regularly appointed as an arbitrator, will discuss his experiences of using the SIAC's Emergency Arbitrator procedure where urgent remedies were required and its relevance to offshore disputes. This SIAC procedure is often used in a range of disputes. Kevin will discuss his experience with the appointment of Emergency Arbitrators, the SIAC's track record so far and the relevant SIAC rules, with some useful practical information on how the process works.
