Shane re-located to Geneva from the HFW Dubai office in June 2022, having spent five years working in the MENA region.

Shane primarily advises on claims and coverage issues relating to complex insurance policies, with a particular focus on trade credit, professional indemnity and other financial lines. Shane has acted for both insurers and policyholders in high value disputes before the English High Court, DIFC Courts and Irish High Court, as well as before various arbitral panels.

Aside from Insurance, Shane has acted on claims relating to sophisticated financial products, such as interest rate swaps, oil derivatives and cyrpto disputes, as well as on various employment related matters.

On the non-contentious side, Shane's practice also incorporates advising on regulatory issues applicable to both insurance companies and other regulated financial entities.

Shane is a practicing solicitor in England and Wales, having qualified in Ireland.
