More about Rula

Rula is the Managing Partner of HFW's Middle East Kuwait office and corporate partner of the Dubai office. Rula leads the corporate, projects and finance offering in the Middle East and specialises in transactional corporate and commercial law. Her practice spans a wide range of areas, including joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions, as well as project, infrastructure and strategic finance. Her practice also encompasses corporate finance, general banking transactions and security packages. She provides advice to companies wanting to invest in and/or expand their existing businesses in the Middle East and has advised a number of international insurance companies in connection with their regulatory and licensing issues in the GCC. She is bilingual (Arabic and English).

Chambers Global 2010 wrote: "Rula Dajani heads the corporate, projects and finance group. An English and Kuwaiti-qualified lawyer, she has extensive knowledge of both Western and Arab markets." Rula is recommended in Chambers Global 2011 for Corporate Commercial work and, similarly, in Legal 500 EMEA 2012 for Corporate and M&A.

Rula is qualified in England and Wales and is also a member of the Kuwait Bar Association.

The firm's Dubai office opened in 2006 and has grown significantly over the years.

Now with 13 partners, 1 legal director and 26 associates, the office offers both GCC clients and international clients with operations in the region an integrated service covering dispute resolution, transactions and regulation across a number of industry sectors. Our team of lawyers, many of whom are Arabic speakers, come from diverse backgrounds and have a strong understanding of and established working relationships with government departments, regulatory bodies, agencies and locally qualified lawyers throughout the GCC region. Our experience shows that this facilitates the faster resolution of any difficulties our clients face.
