Multimodal Seminar

HFW will be hosting its second Multimodal Seminar in Singapore.

Summary

The seminar will begin with an introduction to bailment, contracts of carriage and storage and international conventions. We will then look at legal capacity including duties of agents and principals, before moving on to multimodal bills of lading and air waybills. The morning will finish with a paper covering the Hague / Hague-Visby defences.

The afternoon will start with a talk on air convention defences. We will then move onto look at damages and remoteness of loss, before spending some to looking at enhanced liability in logistics contracts.

The day will conclude with a practical case study, delving further into some of the issues considered earlier during the seminar.
