Summary

The seminar will begin with a look at bills of lading clauses and how they can assist with the day to day issues faced by NVOCs and shipping lines. It will then look at contracts, focusing on the different kinds of liability and exclusion clauses in logistics agreements, which will be followed by a short update on some recent CPR changes.

The afternoon will cover the CMR convention, examining issues such as claims between carriers and jurisdiction. The final paper will give you an insight into the carrier's obligations, defences and limits under the sea conventions. The day will conclude with a practical case study, delving further into some of the issues considered earlier during the seminar. Speakers will include HFW Partner Craig Neame, Senior Associate Catherine Emsellem-Rope and Associate Matthew Wilmshurst.
