Mary on the Green
HFW will be hosting an evening of discussion and debate on gender equality in celebration of the life and work of Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-97).

Summary
This event will be an opportunity to discuss the ongoing challenges and the actions required in order to reach gender equality.
Speakers include:
- Bee Rowlatt: Bee is a writer and journalist. Her current book, In Search of Mary, is inspired by the life of Mary Wollstonecraft and recently won the National Reading Group "Real Life Read" Award. In Search of Mary has also been featured on Woman's Hour and ITV news. Bee is Chair of the Mary on the Green Campaign.
- Dame Fiona Woolf: Alderman Dame Fiona Woolf DBE was the Lord Mayor of London for the year 2013/14 as the 686th Lord Mayor, and only the second woman to hold the role since 1189. Dame Fiona Woolf is an energy lawyer with CMS Cameron McKenna and is a Patron of the Mary on the Green Campaign.
- Chris Parke: Chris started his career in investment banking with BZW, where he worked across Europe and Asia. Following his MBA he moved into consulting with PwC. His passion for the commercial benefits of gender diversity, coaching and development led Chris to found the Coaching Consultancy, Talking Talent.
The Mary on the Green Campaign was established to recognise the work of Mary Wollstonecraft via a memorial statue and a network of people promoting and sharing ideas.
