HFW sponsors the Noon Award at the 2017 Global Equality & Diversity (GED) Conference

HFW are proud to have sponsored the Noon Award for the second year at the annual Global Equality & Diversity (GED) Conference at the Crowne Plaza in the Docklands on Thursday 30 November.

GED 2017 is run in partnership with the Noon Centre for Equality and Diversity in Business, a dedicated centre for promoting equality and diversity in business which was established at the University of East London (UEL) in 2012; funded by the late Lord Gulam Noon (Kt. MBE) and supported by the Noon Foundation.

The annual GED Awards recognise best practice in a number of categories including transparency, research, impact and individual contribution. The Noon Award was presented by HFW Partner David Robinson to Raj Tulsiani, Chief Executive Officer (Green Park), for his outstanding contribution to increasing opportunities for BAME executives to reach the top of business. Under his leadership Green Park have developed recruitment and shortlisting approaches designed to reach the full talent pool.

HFW Partner David Robinson comments:

''HFW is incredibly proud to support the Global Equality and Diversity Conference and sponsor the Noon award. It means a great deal to present the award in memory of my dear friend, Lord Noon, founder of the Noon Centre at the University of East London. The award is presented to an individual who has, through their personal example, innovation or business model, contributed to greater diversity and equality in race, gender, identity and opportunity for peoples or groups and Raj Tulsiani is a very deserving winner for the work he has done in relation to the recruitment of people from under-represented groups and the broader promotion of diversity and inclusion. As a firm we recognise the importance of both the moral case and the business case for diversity and we aim to increase the diversity of our workforce and continue to develop an inclusive culture.''
