Informa Law and HFW will be hosting a drinks reception to celebrate the publication of Construction Contract Variations, a new specialist construction law book written by HFW Partners Michael Sergeant and Max Wieliczko.

Summary

Construction Contract Variations deals with the law in relation to changes to the scope of work on a construction project. The book analyses all aspects of this topic including issues relating to whether work is within the defined scope, the restrictions on an employer's power to vary and claims for payment in respect of extra work where a formal instruction has not been issued. This is the only current book that deals exclusively with the subject of variations and will be of interest to a range of professionals working in the industry, including lawyers, QSs, forensic experts, project managers and commercial staff within contractors and employer organisations. The authors' royalties from the book are being donated to The Lighthouse Club, the construction industry charity.
